ZooMinder ("we", "our", or "us") operates the ZooMinder mobile application and website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services. By using ZooMinder, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We may update this policy from time to time, and we will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page.

We collect the following types of information: Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. You may optionally provide a display name. Pet Data: Information you enter about your pets, including names, species, breed, date of birth, weight, photos, medical history, medications, dosages, and veterinary appointment details. Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the app experience, including feature usage patterns, crash reports, and device information (OS version, device model). We do not collect, store, or process any payment information directly. Premium subscriptions are handled entirely through Google Play.

We use the information we collect to: • Provide, maintain, and improve the ZooMinder service • Send medication reminders and appointment notifications • Sync your data across devices via cloud backup • Enable family sharing features between authorized users • Send important service updates and security notices • Analyze anonymized usage patterns to improve the app We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We do not use your pet health data for advertising purposes.

ZooMinder follows an offline-first approach. Your data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to our secure cloud servers powered by Supabase. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. By using ZooMinder, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in this location.

When you use the family sharing feature, you grant other authorized family members access to your shared pet profiles, medication schedules, and appointment information. You can revoke sharing access at any time through the app settings. Each family member maintains their own account and credentials. We do not share your personal account information with other family members.

ZooMinder uses the following third-party services: • Google Play Services: For app distribution and in-app purchases • Google Analytics: For anonymized usage analytics • Supabase: For authentication and cloud data storage These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

You have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your account and all associated data • Export your data in a portable format • Opt out of non-essential analytics To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@zoominder.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.

ZooMinder is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of ZooMinder after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We recommend reviewing this page periodically for any changes.
